Bodyshop Borked!

pixelcat45Recently bodyshop hasn’t been working for me. It will still load and I can make new Sims but I can’t save the sims so they show up in game. If I click on the check mark after I’m done making a sim it will take me back to the list/grid thing with all of the sims made in bodyshop but the sim I just made won’t be there.
It also won’t let me work on a project I’ve already started or start a new one. When I go to the load project screen nothings there but all the files are still in the projects folder. When I try to start a new project, it will do everything it normally does, pick a thing to export, named it but once it starts exporting stuff, I get this message ‘There was a problem exporting the selected textures.’
I’ve been able to get it back to normal by replacing the downloads folder with my latest backup and everything works fine again but when I start putting back things I’ve downloading since then, it stops working. The thing that confuses me is that the downloads that are causing it not to work are things that a lot of people have and have never said that they borked their game, such as needlecreem’s two latest skin blends, nouk’s rockabilly hair and a few other things.
I’ve deleted the files that people say should fix most things and done almost everything I could think of that would fix it. Nothing has worked so far.
